The Story Behind PREVENTIV

My journey with PREVENTIV began long before I created it. It began at home.

My father has lived with diabetes for many years. Over time, he developed almost every complication linked to the disease—eye problems, kidney disease, coronary artery disease, stroke, and even amputation due to Charcot’s foot.

As a doctor, it is painful to accept that so many of these complications might have been prevented. As a daughter, it is even harder to watch a loved one suffer from multiple health issues that weigh heavily on our entire family. I know the pain of seeing how one disease can multiply into many, and how deeply it affects not just the patient, but everyone around them.

In my professional practice, I saw the same story repeated in countless patients. They often came to me with obesity, gut conditions, or diabetes, but by the time I met them, complications had already begun. Too often, I heard the same painful questions: “Why did this happen? Could it have been prevented?”

Witnessing both my father’s journey and my patients’ struggles made me realise that healthcare waits too long. We act after disease has already taken hold, rather than empowering people with the knowledge to prevent it.

PREVENTIV was founded to change that. It is built on one belief: knowledge is the most powerful medicine. When people understand their disease fully, they can take action earlier, prevent complications, and live healthier lives. Yet while millions are invested in discovering new medicines, only a fraction is directed toward preventive health, where the greatest impact truly lies.

For me, this is more than work—it is a mission. PREVENTIV exists so that no patient, no family, and no community has to suffer the preventable complications.

Our Philosophy

Knowledge is the most powerful medicine

At PREVENTIV, we believe that knowledge is the most powerful medicine. Healthcare today often begins when complications have already developed — leaving patients asking, “Why did this happen? Could it have been prevented?”

We take a different approach:

  • Understand the Cause → why disease develops in the first place.
  • Prevent Complications → act early to protect long-term health.
  • Live with Confidence → make everyday life easier, less stressful.
  • Know Your Options → explore advanced, evidence-based treatments when needed.

When people truly understand their disease — its causes, risks, and course — they can take action earlier, prevent complications, and live healthier lives. Yet while millions are invested in new medicines, only a fraction goes into preventive health, where the greatest impact truly lies. PREVENTIV exists to change that.

What Makes Us Different

How PREVENTIV Stands Apart

Most health programmes promise quick fixes. PREVENTIV is different.

  • Doctor-led → designed and guided by medical expertise, not influencers.
  • Evidence-based → grounded in science, not fads or trends.
  • Prevention-focused → we look at root causes, not just symptoms.
  • Empowering → we equip you with knowledge, not just prescriptions.

We don’t just provide solutions — we give you the understanding that makes every solution more effective and sustainable.

PREVENTIV — Looking Ahead & What Guides Us

We are committed to expanding globally, integrating cutting-edge science, and building a future where no one has to ask, “Could this have been prevented?” too late.

F.A.Qs

We clear up common myths so you can focus on what actually works.

Fact: Obesity is a complex medical condition influenced by genetics, hormones, sleep, stress, gut health, and environment — not just calories in vs. calories out (Goodarzi, 2018).

Fact: Willpower alone can’t overcome powerful biological forces. Hormones like leptin, ghrelin, and insulin regulate hunger and fat storage. In obesity, these systems are disrupted, making weight loss far harder (Friedman, 2019).

Fact: Most restrictive diets trigger metabolic adaptation — your body burns fewer calories and increases hunger, leading to weight regain (Rosenbaum & Leibel, 2010). Sustainable, science-based strategies are more effective.

Fact: While obesity raises health risks, some people with higher BMI still have normal blood pressure, cholesterol, and fitness levels. Health is about more than weight alone — but obesity does increase long-term risks.

Fact: Skipping meals often backfires, causing stronger hunger and overeating later. Balanced eating patterns — like higher-protein meals — are more effective for appetite control (Hu, 2018).
